Municipal Protection Police
portepee which consists of the main components of, strap,
slide, stem, crown, and ball.
The black cotton/rayon strap
has dual, staggered, vertical, parallel, rows of
decorative silver/aluminum stitching near each outside
edge flanking a central, parallel row of alternating,
bright, silver/aluminum and red rayon decorative
stitching. The bottom edge of the strap has a dual strand,
horizontally interwoven, black fabric slide, with
alternating, horizontal, bright, silver/aluminum and red
rayon threads. The strap attaches to a flat stem of finely
embroidered, silver/aluminum threads in a repeating,
opened, checkerboard pattern overlaid on a silvered piece
of metal. The crown is constructed of horizontally laid,
twisted, silver/aluminum braiding while the ball is in
vertically laid, twisted, silver/aluminum braiding and
both are mounted on an internal base. |
